Regional Minister Assures Winter Road Maintenance Is Provided For

Bulgaria's Regional Development Minister Lilyana Pavlova assured that the winter maintenance of the roads has already been provided for.

She told the Darik national radio that the contracts with the road cleaning companies have been signed and all necessary supplies for gritting and deicing are stocked.

An additional sum of BGN 13 M was provided by the government, after earlier it transpired that the previous road maintenance funds of BGN 10 M were spent by the government of Plamen Oresharski on “shrub trimming” and some municipalities were totally unprepared for the winter season.
