Bulgaria’s Parliament is to vote Wednesday on the resignation of the Deputy Chair of the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) Nikolay Popov, who resigned on Tuesday for personal reasons.

Popov was elected FSC Chair on May 22, 2012 and his term in office was to end on July 15, 2015, according to the website of the commission, as cited by dnevnik.bg.

He was in charge of investment activity supervision.

During the Wednesday sitting, Bulgaria’s Parliament will also vote on the termination of the term in office of GERB MP Krasimir Tsipov, who was elected Deputy Minister of Interior.

Bulgarian MPs are also to elect a replacement of Tsipov for the position of Chair of the ad hoc committee on the rules of procedure of Parliament.

At the same time, a number of new MPs are to take an oath of office, replacing the MPs who were elected ministers – nine from center-right party Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB), four from right-wing formation the Reformist Bloc, and one from the Alternative for Bulgarian Revival (ABV Movement).
