The nationalist coalition Patriotic Front (PF) which earlier said it would support a minority coalition between GERB and the Reformist Bloc (RB) has said it cannot approve the document.

In a statement released late on Tuesday the alliance's parliamentary group said the program cannot be backed "as it is" because it does not meet arrangements made in the consultations between center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) and the PF in October.

According to the PF, only "negotiations to coordinate a government program" could lead to support for a stable government.

GERB and the RB, which met for another time on Tuesday to continue government consultations, announced they had finished their draft program and sent it to both the PF and left-wing ABV, two entities from which they hope to be backed in order to secure a stable majority in the legislature.

Conservatives and right-wingers fall short of a majority, since the sum of their MP seats is just 107 out of 240. Support of PF, with their 19 lawmakers, is certainly needed if GERB and the RB are to have a cabinet.
