Reformist Bloc to Present Ministerial Nominees to GERB Party

Center-right party GERB (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria) and right-wing formation the Reformist Bloc continue talks on forming a government talks on Tuesday.

During Tuesday’s meeting, the right-wingers are to present their ministerial nominees, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Television.

The Reformist Bloc is expected to demand 4 or 5 ministers, according to dnevnik.bg.

The GERB party of former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov won 84 seats in Parliament at the elections on October 5, while the Refomist Bloc won 23 seats.

Meanwhile, the Reformist Bloc is also to meet with President Rosen Plevneliev as part of the ongoing consultations of Bulgaria’s head of state with all parties represented in parliament before handing the first government mandate to the Prime Minister candidate of the biggest party.

Later on Tuesday, representatives of liberal party Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) are to meet with Plevneliev to discuss the priorities of the 43rd National Assembly and the urgent reforms on the agenda.
