Russia's Federal Passenger Company suspends regular trains from Moscow to Bulgaria's Sofia and Budapest (Hungary) until further notice as of December 12 and in the opposite direction – as of December 14.

This was announced in an official statement published on the company's website. FPC noted that the decision was made "in connection with a significant decrease in passenger traffic" on these routes.

Federal Passenger Company was founded in 2009 as a 100% subsidiary of Russian Railways.
