Bulgarian caretaker Prime Minister Georgi Bliznashki has called on the political parties to approach the task of forming a government responsibly, stressing that the country faces tough problems requiring long-term solutions.

Bliznashki emphasized in a Monday interview that he was not ready to experiment with keeping the post of caretaker Prime Minister if the attempts to form a government collapsed.

He claimed that the country needed a strong government, regardless of its composition and the parties that would remain in opposition.

Bliznashki, as cited by the BGNES news agency, boasted that the caretaker government had succeeded in organizing fair elections on October 5 which had yielded legitimate results.

Acknowledging the difficult task, Bliznashki called on the political parties to act responsibly and form a government in 2-3 weeks as Bulgaria needed not only expertise but also political will.
