KTBalive Group Slams at Bulgaria's Central Bank Governor

KTBalive Facebook group has accused Bulgaria's central bank governor of attempting to depict protests by frustrated depositors at troubled Corpbank (KTB) as being manipulated.

The Facebook group, set  to unite the interests of the KTB depositors who want to have access to their money and claim the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) has been dragging its feet on KTB, said in an open letter to BNB Governor Ivan Iskrov that he has been attempting to suggest the protests have allegedly been driven by behind-the-scenes interests of their organizers.

The letter was released in response to Iskrov’s statement he was surprised why the protests were held in front of the BNB building in Sofia.

According to KTBalive, BNB and Iskrov himself are to blame for denying depositors at KTB access to their money.

The BNB seized control of KTB in June following a deposits run, suspending its operations and ordering an audit of its books that has to be completed by October 20.

“The only results to be seen are that we have no access to our funds, many clients of KTB who had received pensions and salaries and conducted payments through the bank were banned from KTB by force;  we see that under the administration of your administrators KTB’s loss is growing by the month,” the letter said.
