Stanislav Dochev, CEO of State-owned postal operator Bulgarian Posts, has vowed that there will be no staff cuts at the company.

In a Thursday interview for the Bulgarian National Radio, he said that the total headcount of the company amounted to slightly over 11 000 people.

Dochev, who was appointed CEO of the company on August 25, noted that although there were some post offices which reported profits, the majority of sites were registering losses.

He informed that 2008 out of a total of 2981 post offices in Bulgaria reported losses.

Dochev suggested that the efforts of the management of Bulgarian Posts had to focus on improving the efficiency of its financial management and its administrative staff.

He said that the main ambition of the company's management was to improve its economic performance.
