GERB leader Boyko Borisov, on Thursday told the BNT viewers that if GERB doesn't have an absolute majority in next parliament, there will be “nothing to eat in the winter.”

True to his style of governing through the TV screen and with the help of threats and apocalyptic scenarios, in essence Borisov manipulates the voters and scares them into voting for GERB.

It is striking that a politician, former prime minister of a EU member state in the XXI century, who has the pretense to govern again, indulges himself and behaves like an absolute monarch from times of yore, or a dictator from more recent times.

Considering that his government was ousted by protests in the winter of 2013, months before the end of his term, one would expect Borisov to be a bit humbler.

One would expect that the parties will come out with meaningful platforms, sensible plans for the much needed reforms and solutions to Bulgaria's problems, instead of threatening the voters with starvation, if they don't vote for them.

Such behaviour is rather arrogant and primitive and is more befitting the school bully, not a European politician.
