Bulgaria's Caretaker PM Appoints 8 Deputy Ministers at 6 Ministries

Bulgarian caretaker Prime Minister Georgi Bliznashki has appointed eight deputy ministers at six ministries.

Vladimir Dinchev has been appointed caretaker Deputy Minister of Environment and Water. He holds a degree in hydrobiology from the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". He completed specializations in ecology and management of coastal zones and river basins. He has been a longtime employee of the Ministry of Environment and Water, where he reached the position of Director of the "Water" Directorate. As of 2008, he has been chief expert at the environment and water parliamentary committee.

Lyubomir Bakalivanov has been appointed caretaker Deputy Health Minister. He is Deputy Director in charge of the medico-diagnostic activity of the National Heart Hospital (NHH) in Sofia. He has a medical degree and has completed a specialization in "Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care."

Georgi Todorov, who was Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications until August 6, 2014, keeps his office in the caretaker government. He holds an MA in Law from the University of National and World Economy (UNWE).

Branimir Botev, who was Deputy Minister for Tourism in the socialist-led government of Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski, has been re-appointed Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy in the caretaker government.

Anton Pavlov, energy expert, has also been appointed caretaker Deputy Minister. He is Chief Power Engineer and head of the "Energy Management" unit at Lukoil Bulgaria EOOD. He has been an employee of power distributor CEZ, the National Electric Company (NEK), the State Agency on Energy and Energy Resources and the Energy Committee. He holds an MA in Finance from the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) and an engineering degree with a specialization in Automation and Electronics from the Technical University of Sofia.

Boil Banov, director of the Drama and Puppet Theater "Ivan Dimov" in Haskovo, and Viktor Stoyanov, musician, with an MA in Philosophy from the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", have been appointed caretaker Culture Ministers.

Valeri Mladenov, Deputy Rector of the Technical University of Sofia, has been appointed caretaker Deputy Minister of Education and Science.
