Bulgaria's caretaker government will conform its actions regarding controversially perceived minister Krasimira Medarova to some critical reactions, interim PM Bliznashki said.

Georgi Bliznashki, who has been in office since Wednesday, asserted that the cabinet was "sensitive" to moods in civil society.

He nevertheless pointed out most people who have in-depth knowledge of elections "have already been somewhere", as the daily Trud reports.

Bliznashki was referring to critical remarks that Krasimira Medarova, who declared she would renounce the office earlier on Sunday, had been appointed Central Electoral Committee (CEC) Chair during the term of conservative GERB's government in 2011 and was part of the party's quota at the elections watchdog.

On Friday President Rosen Plevneliev surprisingly named Medarova as a minister who would oversee the early elections in October, despite the fact he had not included the position in the list of cabinet members he made public on Tuesday.

The interim Prime Minister described Medarova as "a professional" who "did not mishandle" the 2011 2-in-1 elections, when a local vote was combined with a presidential one.

Bliznashki also added a final decision whether there will be any elections minister in his government would be taken and by the end of Sunday.

The website Dnevnik.bg earlier reported, citing its own sources, that interim Prime Minister Georgi Bliznashki, who assumed office this week, would seek to have Emiliya Drumeva, a former judge from Bulgaria's Constitutional Court, at the office.

Drumeva is currently presiding over the CEC Civic Council which took active part in the preparation of the Electoral Code approved under the previous socialist-liberal government.

Bliznashki himself dismissed the claims.

He confirmed, however, that Drumeva would be part of his team and would enter the political cabinet.
