An enthusiastic collector of old vehicles is planning to open the first in Bulgaria museum for communist-era cars, Nova TV reports.

Tzvetan Atanasov started collecting old cars in 2004 when he accidentally found a Soviet Zhiguli automobile.

"Then before I realized it, I got 12 cars in a month. It's been 10 years now and I have over 120 vehicles. The renovated cars are now 35, and I hope that by December 1 before the opening of the museum their number will be 50," Atansov told Nova TV.

Zaporozhets, Moskvitch and Volga are just some of the retro brands in his collection. The old vehicles will be accompanied by silicone figures of socialist leaders.

The Communist-era Automobiles Museum will open in December, most probably in Varna or in Sofia.
