The employees of the Greek Public Power Corporation have declared an end to their strike and are going back to work, Monday.

The workers announced their decision to put an end to the strike after the government issued civil mobilization orders, and some of the protesters were served a summons, Bulgarian Telegraph Agency informs.

Thirteen power stations in Greece were shut down and the electricity in entire regions of the country was cut off, after the electricity workers began a 48-hour strike last Thursday over privatization plans.

The Greek parliament is debating a bill that would allow the government to sell off 30% of the Public Power Corporation (PPC), the country’s biggest electricity producer.
