Ludogorets Await 3rd Bulgarian League Title Wednesday

Ludogorets Razgrad could seal the Bulgarian League title on Wednesday when they host Lokomotiv Plovdiv in their 36th round match.

Anything but a loss would be enough to give the greens their third consecutive championship – something no football club outside the capital Sofia has ever done.

The task for Ludogorets will be made easier by the fact that their opponents are firmly in 7th place and have nothing but their pride to play for in the remaining league matches. On top of that, Lokomotiv will be missing some key players, including experienced captain Zdravko Lazarov.

Even if the Razgrad team fails to claim the title today, it will have 2 more chances to do so, as they have a game in hand over their main contenders CSKA. Nonetheless, the prospect of clinching the trophy on home ground will surely motivate Stoycho Stoev's players when they take to the pitch at 7:30 PM on Wednesday.
