Bulgarian Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski has vowed to intensify bilateral economic ties with Uzbekistan.
Oresharski visited the city of Samarkand on Wednesday at the end of his official visit to Vietnam, according to reports of the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA).
Bulgaria's Prime Minister held a working meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Rustam Azimov.
The two discussed the bilateral relations of Bulgaria and Uzbekistan with an emphasis on economic issues.
They also exchanged views on the organization of a sitting of the joint intergovernmental committee and of political consultations in June.
The opportunity for Bulgarian Prime Minister paying a visit to Uzbekistan by end-2014 was also discussed.
Earlier on Wednesday, Oresharski visited a Bulgarian-owned textile mill in the Vietnamese city of Hue.
The textile mill absorbed an investment of BGN 17 M in 2008.
The factory employs around 450 Vietnamese and around 10 Bulgarian specialists on a rotating basis.
In a Wednesday statement, Plamen Oresharski pointed out that he had discussed broad forms of cooperation in the social and economic sphere during his meetings with his Vietnamese counterpart, adding that business representatives had also met with potential partners.
