Bosnia and Herzegovina's police chief Dragan Lukac warns that new protests can be expected in March.
"Very serious pressures have been registered from protesters and others – and I especially emphasize these others – on police and prosecution bodies related to committing crimes", Lukac said, quoted by BalkanInsight.
What the Director of the Federal Police Authority was referring to, are the investigations into the clashes between police and protesters earlier in February when riots broke out in Tuzla, Mostar, Sarajevo, and Zenica.
The protests were largely aimed at job cuts, unemployment, stagnating economy, and corrupt politicians.
Lukac revealed that he is aware of mass protests planned for March 7, a month after the initial ones began.
