Only 8 % of company owners and managers are satisfied with the level of education of their young employees acquired in Bulgarian universities, according to a poll.

A total of 77 % of the polled believe that the knowledge gained in Bulgarian universities is insufficient, a survey of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) among its members showed.

Some 80% of respondents indicated that they see gaps in the professional skills of their employees, 56% - in their entrepreneurial thinking.

According to the survey, 77 % of entrepreneurs support the dual system of education (practical internships and theoretical learning).

BCCI points out three key factors for the success of the new system: improving the quality of teaching, good coordination of businesses and schools and tax incentives for the businesses.
