The month of political consultations of Bulgarian President, Rosen Plevneliev, with parties represented in the Parliament failed to start with the sought consensus.

The first party scheduled to meet with the Head of State – the ultranationalist Ataka – began the talks with asking him to give up his immunity in order to start an investigation against him.

According to Ataka Member of the Parliament, Desislav Chukolov, if Plevneliev agrees to give up his immunity he will demonstrate that all Bulgarian citizens are equal before the law.

The nationalist believe the President must be investigated on grounds of allegations he is linked to offshore companies and has committed financial breaches.
