Bulgarian Prime Minister Survives 3rd No-Confidence Vote

The third attempt for a no-confidence vote against the Bulgarian government of PM Plamen Oresharski failed.

Of the 217 registered MPs, 116 voted "against", 93 were "for", and 8 abstained.

The no-confidence motion was submitted by the opposition GERB party, against the Socialist-led government on grounds of failures in the security sector.

The previous two votes against the cabinet were based on the regional development policy and the investment policy.

Oddly, 2 civilian protesters were able to break into the parliament building as soon as the vote had concluded and the Prime Minister was getting ready to give a speech. The two girls were carrying a banner reading "Ostavka" (Resignation). They were escorted out of the building soon after.
