Bulgaria's Sports Minister Expects Successful Sochi Games

Bulgaria's Sports Minister Mariana Georgieva has arrived in Sochi for the opening of the Winter Olympic Games on Friday.

"I am certain they will be one of the most successful Winter Olympic Games", she said. "Russia is a significant power in the world sport and has more than once hosted significant sport events", the minister added.

Georgieva wished good health and success to the Bulgarian athletes in the competitions.

Later on Thursday, the arrival of Bulgaria's Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski in Sochi is expected.
