Bulgaria’s Chief Prosecutor Meets Govt Officials in The Hague

Bulgaria’s Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov is on an official two-day visit to The Hague, the Netherlands, the press centre of the Prosecutor’s Office announced Monday.

Tsatsarov and his two deputies Penka Bogdanova and Borislav Sarafov will meet with Ivo Opstelten, Minister of Security and Justice, Chairman of Netherlands Council of Prosecutors Herman Bolhaar, President of Eurojust Michele Coninsx, President of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Sang-Hyun Song and ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda.

During the second day of the visit, Bulgarian officials will meet with Director of Europol Rob Wainwright and officials with the Dutch Ministry of Finance.

Chief Prosecutor Tsatsarov is to discuss the results from the European Commission’s CVM report with the Dutch Minister of Security and Justice.

An agreement on bilateral cooperation will be signed by the Bulgarian and Dutch prosecutor’s offices.

The establishment of a European Prosecutor's Office will be discussed at a meeting between the Bulgarian officials and Mich?le Coninsx.

Bulgaria’s Chief Prosecutor and Europol Director will discuss expanding of employment opportunities for mixed teams and improving the information exchange.
