The trial against Egypt’s ousted President Mohammed Morsi has resumed in Cairo, according to the country’s official news agency.

The agency’s report gave no details on Saturday’s proceedings, held in a makeshift courtroom in the national police academy in eastern Cairo.

Morsi and 14 other Muslim Brotherhood figures are accused of inciting the killing of protesters outside the presidential palace in December 2012.

He was removed by the army last July after demonstrations against his rule.

His supporters have since held regular protests calling for his reinstatement.

Morsi also faces other charges ranging from colluding with foreign militants in a terrorist plot to jail breaking.
