Bulgarian Worker Dies, Another Fights for Life in Repair Accident

A 56-year-old Bulgarian worker has died and an 60-year-old's life is in danger after a failure of equipment at a metal works near the Bulgarian town of Ihtiman.

According to preliminary police information, the accident was caused by the electric system at the facility.

The 56-year-old worker has died on the spot, while the other has sustained 90%-deree burns.

The gravely wounded man has been hospitalized in the Pirogov emergency hospital in Sofia, where doctors are fighting for his life.
