Record high levels of radioactive substances have been detected in underground waters under the Japanese Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant (NPP).
The operator of the N-plant, Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco), as cited by ITAR-TASS and the Focus news agency, informed that the concentration of radioactive substances in water samples taken on Friday from a well on the territory of the second unit of the NPP exceeded 2,7 million Becquerel per liter against a norm of 150 Bq.
