Bulgaria’s Tsvetana Pironkova will play her first round match at the Australian Open on Monday, against Spain’s Silvia Soler-Espinosa.
Pironkova, who won her first WTA title on Friday in Sydney, will only have 2 days to rest before starting her participation in the first Grand Slam tournament for 2014.
If she qualifies for the 2nd round, Pironkova will face the winner of the match between Samantha Stosur of Australia and Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic.
Soler-Espinosa is 26 years old and ranked 79th in the world.
