The Bulgarian cabinet has made considerable steps towards creating a better business climate since coming office end of May, according to Bulgaria's PM Plamen Oresharski.

"Since the start of our term in office we gave quite a few positive signals to businesses, so that they can start returning their motivation and good self-esteem," said Oresharski.

Tuesday the Bulgarian PM spoke at the annual award ceremony of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Among the policies implemented by his cabinet, the premier singled out the streamlining of payments to businesses, the continued decrease of administrative burden, as well as the better accessibility of micro-financing.

"We place a special emphasis on innovative and export businesses, as well as on the link between businesses and education," said Oresharski.

"We will also continue to work for a more balanced development of Bulgaria's regions," added the PM.

According to Oresharski, the continued business climate policies of the government are bound to make the country more attractive to foreign investors.
