Ukrainian PM Mykola Azarov, whose government survived a no-confidence vote Tuesday, said he will institute changes in the cabinet.

Azarov said that the reshuffles are in response to the handling of massive anti-cabinet rallies over the past weeks.

"I can guarantee that I will make resolute conclusions from the dispersing of protests in Kiev," stated the PM, speaking after the vote.

"There will be drastic personal changes in the cabinet," vowed Azarov, reports the Interfax agency.

However, he recalled that neither he nor Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych have taken the decision for the forceful dispersion of protesters.

Over the weekend, Ukrainan capital Kiev became the scene of some serious violence, as protesters, some of them wielding poles and throwing projectiles, clashed with riot police, who used batons and tear gas.
