Bulgaria's national flag carrier Bulgaria Air and Air Blue, of Pakistan, have signed a wet lease for the use of two A 320-200 airplanes, until March 2014, the Bulgarian company announced in a press release.

Forty-five members of Bulgaria Air crew are leaving for Pakistan to operate the two Bulgaria Air planes for Air Blue.

The first of the Bulgarian crew to depart for Karachi have been sent off by Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Jamshaid Iftikhar, along with the Deputy Head of Mission, Tanveer Ahmed.

Air Blue is a private airline that connects the main cities in Pakistan and also flies to Manchester and Birmingham in the UK.

Bulgaria Air stresses that the lease between the two airlines is a positive development that would lead to earnings in foreign exchange for Bulgaria Air and some people-to-people connection between the two friendly countries, as the air crew would stay in Pakistan, to operate the flights, for the lease period.
