Volen Siderov, leader of the Bulgarian extremist nationalist party Ataka, will not be part of the delegation of lawmakers traveling to Syria, as previously reported.

The update was announced by the Member of the Parliament from the Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, Strahil Angelov, cited by the Bulgarian Trud (Labor) daily.

Angelov will lead the delegation as he is the Chair of the Group for Friendship with Syria in the Parliament.

The visit will be three-day long and starts on December 7. The list of participants is yet to be finalized, but it will include Ataka lawmakers.

The agenda is also not ready, however, talks with Syria's economy and foreign affairs ministers as well as with President Bashar al-Assad are expected. The topics for discussion include the refugee wave from Syria to Bulgaria; the possibility to extradite these refugees back, and participation of Bulgarian companies in the rebuilding of the country after the end of the civil war conflict.

The visit is not an official State or parliamentary one, Trud further explains.
