Unconfirmed media reports say French police have captured the man who opened fire at the offices of newspaper Liberation and Societe Generale bank in Paris on Monday.

The suspect was captured in Paris’ 7th District, reported Le Parisien.

However, the French prosecutors have denied the suspect is in custody.

One of the men shot in the office of Liberation is wounded and remains in critical condition.

According to local media, the gunman is about 40-45 years of age and used a hunting rifle. He did not say anything during the attack, Liberation reported.

Some two hours later, the same man opened fire outside the bank Societe Generale's headquarters in the western business district of La Defense. No one was injured.
