Bulgarian EconMin Embarks on US Trip in Search of Investors

Bulgarian Minister of Economy and Energy, Dragomir Stoynev, is on a three-day visit to the US.

Stoynev has said that one of the aims of the trip is to attract American investments in the IT sector.

"Of course, I also have very important meetings at the Energy Department in Washington DC. I believe the two countries have great relations and partnership in the sector," the Minister, cited by Focus News Agency, has stated.

He has explained that the topic of advancement of nuclear energy in the country will be among the top priorities and the Bulgarian delegation will learn firsthand and see the newest technology still unavailable in Europe.

Stoynev has added that he will visit the organized business forums with the hope of finding US companies willing to invest in Bulgaria which would lead to concrete results such as new job openings and lower unemployment.
