The fan club of Sofia's CSKA football team is opposing holding the partisan rally of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) on Eagles' Bridge intersection on the day of the derby with rival "Levski."

According to football fans from the club "Offensive," cited by the site OffNews, the scheduling of a political rally at the very same location where they meet before the game seeks political provocations and escalation.

"The responsibility for possible unwanted developments will weigh only on the organizers of the party rally, and those who allowed them to hold it," they wrote on their Facebook page.

The fans categorically oppose the use as a starting point of a party rally, on the day of the Eternal Derby, one of the most emblematic places where CSKA supporters gather, they say in their post.

"Apparently certain individuals and organizations are seeking to politicize tomorrow's game and will later try to make conclusions based on what is going to happen or not happen in the merge of the two events. We remind everyone that the consequences of the accumulation of two large groups of people with diverse political beliefs cannot be predicted," their declaration reads.

The fans categorically state that their organization is not politically tied to anyone.

The rally on Sofia's key intersection starts at 12 pm Saturday. The Socialists have said that 70 000 are expected to attend from all over the country.
