Lawmakers from Bulgaria's extreme nationalist party Ataka have mysteriously disappeared from the Parliament amidst mass and violent antigovernment protests outside, according to parliamentary reporters.

As all the adjacent area remains blocked by both protesters and riot police, it remains unclear how they have managed to do so, but around noon, demonstrators exchanged information some automobiles have been spotted leaving trough the metal fences in front of the main entrance.

At this time, most of the protesters were around the rear entrance, trying to form a human chain, as this entrance is commonly used by MPs exiting the building. When riot police pushed them away by force, tensions escalated and clashes occurred. There are reports of one arrest of a person with criminal record.

After the break, no one from Ataka returned to plenary hall. Nationalist MPs were not seen in their parliamentary office, the two coffee shops and the hallways. Reporters of the online news agency Dnevnik tried to get in touch with them, but they did not pick up their cell phones.

Meanwhile, new clashes are reported as protesters attempted to erect barricades from trash containers in order to block traffic on the main "Rakovski" street and were pushed aside by police.

Earlier, MPs from the opposition party Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, GERB, officially left the Tuesday sitting in outrage from reports police was acting violently towards protesters.
