Popular Bulgarian theater director Stefan (Tedi) Moskov has voiced strong support for university occupations which are staged with demands for the resignation of the Socialist-led government.

In a video, filmed by protesting students, who have occupied the auditorium of the National Academy for Film and Theater Art (NAFTA) in Sofia, Moskov says to them: "You can make an alternative government and organize a political student movement to participate in elections."

The theater director and creator of the very popular satirical television show "The Street" also believes that "those who impede the learning process are not the students, but the government of Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski that does not want to resign."

"We are all behind you," he adds.

His wife, popular actress, Maya Novoselska, already expressed support to students last week when she stated that they were the "light and hope for all of us."

Their son, who is also gaining popularity as director of short films and commercials, Ivan Moskov, appears in a video titled "Oresharski Is Resigning" in which a dog mimics the act of submitting resignation. The video has been viewed over 33 000 times on YouTube.

Many other prominent Bulgarian directors, actors and filmmakers have already voiced support for "Occupy NAFTA."
