University students have called for the occupation of the Bulgarian Parliament at a protest music concert in front of the nearby St. Alexander Nevsky cathedral in central Sofia.

Sunday Sofia saw thousands go out on a rally against corruption and a percieved lack of morality in Bulgarian politics.

The day is the 24th anniversary of November 10, 1989, the date commemorated as the end of the communist regime.

It is also the 150th day since a controversial senior appointment by Parliament at the proposal of PM Plamen Oresharski sent thousands in protest in the streets on June 14.

End of October, students occupied the main building of Sofia University requesting Oresharski's resignation and Parliament's dissolution.

Sunday evening, there is a strong police presence in central Sofia, as reports of an imminent escalation of violence have surfaced.

Meanwhile, Sofia team CSKA is losing 0:2 a home game against Ludogorets in Bulgaria's football A-league, with some fearing hooligan intervention into the protest, which has this far been peaceful.

Expect details.
