Egypt will hold parliamentary elections in February or March of 2014, revealed the Foreign Ministry.

The vote will take place approximately 2 months after the national referendum on a new constitution.

Egypt's military ousted democratically elected President Mohammed Morsi in July and initiated a crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood. In September, the court banned all activities of the Brotherhood.

Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy revealed that the presidential elections will be scheduled for the early summer of 2014, reports CNN.
