Bulgaria's top tennis player, Grigor Dimitrov, ends the year in 23rd place in the ATP world rankings.

Despite reaching the top 16 at the BNP Paribas Masters, Dimitrov dropped one place in the rankings since last week. He was overtaken by the German Philipp Kohlschreiber.

This is the Bulgarian's highest ranking at the end of a year, after finishing 48th in 2012.

Dimitrov's memorable season included his first ATP title, at Stockholm in October, as well as a victory over world number 1 Novak Djokovic, in May.

This ranking means that Dimitrov can be seeded between 17th and 24th at the upcoming Australian Open in January.

Bulgaria's top female player, Tsvetana Pironkova climbed 11 positions in the weekly ranking, and now sits at 108th place.
