An efficient justice is of key importance for public trust in institutions, said Bulgarian President, Rosen Plevneliev at the anniversary of the Supreme Administrative Court.

“Fair justice is the foundation of the state and public trust in Bulgaria’s institutions depends on its effectiveness”, said President Plevneliev at the official ceremony in celebration of the centennial anniversary of Bulgaria’s Supreme Administrative Court (VAS) on Monday, November 4th.

“The profession of a judge requires not only knowledge about the book of law, but also about its spirit and requires a high morale”, said the Bulgarian President in his congratulation address to the magistrates.

The President attended the official ceremony in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Bulgarian Supreme Administrative Court.

The low confidence of Bulgarians in the institutions of the state is a huge problem, and the institutions should pay attention to the voice of the civil society in Bulgaria in order for the public confidence to be increased, pointed out President Plevneliev.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski and Parliament Chair Mihail Mikov also attended the ceremony in celebration of the centennial anniversary of the court.
