Students from Bulgaria's National Academy for Theater and Film Arts in Sofia blocked traffic for a second day in a row on Thursday morning in an anti-government protest.

At 8.30 am, the students staged a flash mob in front of the NATFA building on Rakovski Str.

A group of young actors started crossing the street in front of the Academy to-and fro.

The crowd of protesting students included ones dressed as clowns who were giving colorful balloons to people passers-by and cars waiting for the road to be cleared.

The balloons had messages written on them like "When a jester entertains the people, this is called comedy. When a jester rules the people, this is called tragedy."

Finally the students lied down on the street, writing "Resignation" with their bodies.

The governing body of NATFA has opposed the occupation of the Academy, announcing that sponsors of the university had cautioned that they would stop funding if the educational process was disrupted.

Students have staged partial or full blockades at a number of universities in Sofia and across the country, demanding the resignation of the socialist-led government and the dissolution of Parliament.

The initiative was launched by the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", which has had its central building blocked since last Friday. No classes are taking place at the central building on Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd and the governing body of the University is in talks with the protesting students to persuade them to lift the blockade.
