On the 136th day of anti-government rallies, protesters blocked traffic at the Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd and the Vasil Levski Blvd intersection in front of the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".

The starting point of the demonstration was selected to express support for the students staging an occupation of the University building.

By 6.30 pm, around 1000 people had gathered in front of the central building of the Sofia University, chanting "Resign" and "We support you," according to reports of dnevnik.bg.

Meanwhile, a crowd of protesters started calling for the resignation of President Rosen Plevneliev in front of the President's Office.

No clashes between pro-government and anti-government protesters were reported by 7.30pm.

The students staging a blockade at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" are demanding the resignation of the socialist-led coalition government and the dissolution of Parliament.

The Sofia University has cancelled classes on Monday, with a general assembly scheduled to start at 2 pm to decide on the situation.

Responding to Sunday's statement of Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski that he was ready to enter into dialogue with the protesting students, they announced that they would participate in talks as long as they were promised that the meeting would take place on the territory of the occupied University building with Ombudsman Konstantin Penchev as moderator and that it would be aired live by Alma Mater TV and the Bulgarian National Television.
