Boat Sinks Near Egypt: 12 Dead

12 people have drowned and more than 100 were rescued after a boat carrying illegal immigrants sank on Friday near the Egyptian port of Alexandria, BBC informs.

The boat sank in open sea near the coast of Egypt and survivors, mostly Palestinians and Syrians, were taken to a naval base, reports BBC.
