7 Bulgarian Regions on Alert over Downpours, Strong Winds

Code orange has been issued for a total of seven Bulgarian regions due to expected downpours and strong winds on Tuesday, the National Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology has announced.

Code orange will be in force for the northern regions of Ruse, Targovishte, Shumen, Razgrad, Silistra, Dobrich and Varna.

Code yellow has been issued for the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Sliven and Burgas. Downpours are also expected in these regions.

Code orange means medium level of danger, with high probability of damages caused by weather phenomena.

Code yellow means potentially dangerous weather, where the forecast is not for unusual meteorological events, but requires people to exercise caution.
