Sunny Beach, Bulgaria's popular summer resort, has found its place in the hearts of young Britons, ousting Magaluf and Kavos as their favourite party destination, BBC reports.

BBC 3 presenter Stacey Dooley, known for her controversial reporting, however has traveled to Sunny Beach in Bulgaria only to uncover the consequences of a no-rules party scene where alcohol can be bought for the lowest prices in Europe and bar crawls dominate the strip.

Dooley hears what young Bulgarians working in the resort think of the British drinking culture and reveals some of the devastating consequences when things go a bit too far.

She investigates the easy access British tourists may have to illegal drugs and questions what the authorities are doing about it.

Her program will be aired on Monday evening.

UK holidaymakers have been increasingly getting into problems in Bulgaria. The crime rate is on the up and hospitals report soaring numbers of Brits being rushed to A&E.

This summer  19-year-old Shaun Davies, from Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, died after plunging from a Sunny Beach hotel balcony.

Last year, in just five months the British Embassy in Bulgarian capital Sofia had to deal with 24 deaths, including three fatal falls at hotels.
