Bulgaria's men's national volleyball team will meet tournament hosts Poland in Tuesday's playoff match of the European Championship.

After finishing third place in the preliminary pool D with 1 win and 2 losses, the Bulgarians have no more room for error. Poland finished second in pool B after winning 2 of their 3 matches.

The direct clash will determine who advances to Wednesday's quarterfinal against Germany. The good news for Bulgaria head coach Camillo Placi will be the return of Todor Skrimov, who received a slight injury in the second match of the group phase.

The Poles will be eager for revenge, after losing twice to Bulgaria in this summer's World League. Undoubtedly, the 12 000 home support in Gdansk's Ergo Arena will be a huge boost for Andrea Anastasi's men.

The playoff fixture is from 9 PM Bulgarian time and will be broadcast live on News7.
