Stoycho Stoev, coach of Bulgarian football club Ludogorets Razgrad, could not hide his delight after his team’s shocking away win against PSV Eindhoven in Europa League on Thursday.

Ludogorets produced the surprise result of the opening Europa League group games by winning 2-0 at PSV Eindhoven.

Goals from Roman Bezjak and Virgil Misidjan ensured the Bulgarians made a winning start against the Dutch side.

“We arrived here to win, however absurd it may sound,” Stoev told reporters after the game,
“The team did what I wanted it to do,” he said.

“The win is not only for Ludogorets, it is for Bulgaria.”

Stoev declared that his team would continue working hard, as it has far more games in the Europa League group stage.
