Bulgaria's center-right party GERB will submit to Parliament the first no-confidence motion against the government on Thursday.

The no-confidence vote is based on the establishment of the new Ministry of Investment Planning which GERB insists has no practical use and burdens the budget with extra expenses for additional administrative staff.

Against the backdrop of the discussion on the no-confidence vote, Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski will present a report on the government's achievements in their first 100 days in office, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Television.

The GERB party (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria), chaired by former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, initially planned to file a no-confidence motion based on the failed overall policy of the socialist-led coalition government, but they were criticized by representatives of the new right-wing formation the Reformist Bloc who argued that an unsuccessful no-confidence vote based on the overall policy of the Cabinet would prevent the opportunity to submit a new no-confidence motion for six months.
