Bulgarian Cabinet Gets Unprecedented Low Support - Poll

Popular support for Bulgaria's new Socialist Party led cabinet has drastically gone down during the first 100 days of its term, according to a new opinion poll.

84% of Bulgarians of different social backgrounds have do not trust the government of PM Plamen Oresharski, Alpha Research pollster Boriana Dimitrova told Nova TV.

"No other cabinet has registered such dramatic decrease in credit," said Dimitrova.

According to the sociologist, among the reasons for such bad public estimate are frustrated expectations of society.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party's promises only experts to take ruling posts immediately turned out fake when the notorious media mogul Delyan Peevski was appointed for Head of State Agency of National Security (DANS), commented the Dimitrova.

On his part, Mediana agency pollster Kolio Kolev commented that Bulgarians are against the current cabinet, but at the same time they cannot clearly define requirements for the next government, and point out who should step in.

"Bulgarian society is looking for something new," said the sociologist, adding that time will show if a newly formed entity, the Reformist Bloc, would be the novel political formation that Bulgarians need.
