Tatyana Doncheva, a former Bulgarian Socialist Party lawmaker, has hinted of establishing a new left-wing political outfit.

Doncheva told the Bulgarian National Radio on Friday that new party "would be probably announced in the autumn."

She said former Bulgarian Socialist Party officials are likely to join the new formation, refusing to reveal their names.

Doncheva strongly criticized the Socialist-led coalition government of PM Plamen Oresharski, accusing it of having ties with oligarchs.

She believes the government has been "given in concession to several big business groups."

"We need a new left-wing political project that is not connected with BSP's past," she said.

Local media recently reported that Doncheva may launch a joint political project with former President Georgi Parvanov (2001-2012).

The Bulgarian government has now seen nearly 80 straight days of unrelenting protests. The rallies were triggered by a series of highly controversial appointments and wider concerns about corruption.
