Bulgarian anti-government protesters, who launched on August 3 a pedestrian march of over 600km from Sofia to the Black Sea coast, have reached the Evsinograd State Residence near Varna.

On the 16th final day of the march, around 30 protesters chanted "resign"outside the official government residence Evsinograd, according to reports of the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA).

The route of the protest march included major Bulgarian cities like Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, and Burgas.

Lyuben Ivanov, 30-year-old Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski," who came up with the idea for the protest march, commented Sunday that the participants had done their best to stir up public opinion, adding that they had been offered moral support by locals at each stop.

Bulgarians have held record-long protests rallies for over two months now, demanding the resignation of the Socialist-led coalition government of Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski.
