Earthquake Rattles Bulgaria's Coastal Varna Region

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale has shaken Northeastern Bulgaria.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at 11 kilometers south-east of the town of Provadia and 33 kilometers west of Varna, 320 km east of Sofia, at a depth of 5 km, according to the Bulgarian National Seismological Data Center.

The quake hit at 9:14 am local time and was felt slightly in the regions of Provadia, Devnya and the neighboring villages.

No damages or casualties have been reported.
